The authority preserved the collapsed pier and tilted street lamps at the time of aftermath of the earthquake so as to allow visitors to witness the intensity of the tremor.

JAPAN TRIP - (7) Osaka Aquarium

We visited the huge Osaka Kaiyukan Aquarium.
A 5 mins' walk from Osakako train station.
Adult ticket costs yen 2000.
It's definitely worth the time and money. We spent about 2.5 hr there and shopped at the nearby Tempozan Market Place.

TIPS - CHECK out the feeding times so that you won't miss them.

Don't forget to visit the Kaiyukan Museum souvenir shop on Level 2, and have a picture taking from the machine, with choice background, at yen 500.

The laid-back otter that swims on its back.

The smiley sting-ray fish.

The blissful family of dolphins swimming together.

Some penguins sleep while others are awake.

The star of the Aquarium - The Blue Whale Shark
